hela Sverige The product development group at Expancel consists of a team of highly motivated and skilled engineers and chemists. The group has the key objective to develop and optimize new and existing expandable microspheres for commercial use in different market segments to meet customer needs.
We are now searching for a R&D Engineer to our team. The position is permanent and placed in Stockvik.
About the role:
As a R&D Engineer you will work with development in close cooperation with other RD&I groups and functions in the business. Production scale up of new products and implementation in customer processes are also part of the work. Further key objective of the role is to contribute to the support to market and production departments with sustainability knowledge, product chemistry related knowledge, trouble-shooting and support in polymerization technology and other related production processes.
The main duties and responsibilities:
• Participate in or lead assigned cross-functional RD&I development projects and activities, and to report progress and results
• Perform polymerizations, analyses and other laboratory evaluations as part of projects and activities
• Provide support to market and production departments with chemistry related knowledge
• Contribute with new ideas and solutions to projects and activity assignments
• Contribute to continuous improvements of HSE, quality and efficiency
Job Requirements/Candidate profile:
• Master of Science in Chemistry/Chemical engineering or corresponding education, with 3-4 years of relevant job experience
• Experience from product & process development and production scale up is beneficial
• Experience in project work and project management is also beneficial
• Good ability of technical and chemical problem solving
• Good communication skills in English and preferably also in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Good awareness of safety, health and environmental regulations
