You will be part of the Technology & Solutions Development within the Power Grids division in Ludvika. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems. Please find out more about our world leading technology at www.abb.com/hvdc. TasksAs R&D Engineer, you will develop and test HMI solutions for control and protection systems for HVDC. The software developed will be used as a base from which projects all over the world will take their first steps. Your code will enable engineers to meet our customers' requirements and lay a foundation to a successful delivery. You will work with our latest HVDC technology and solutions, in collaboration with colleagues located worldwide. RequirementsYour personal qualities are vital for success. You need the ability to work well in a team and deliver towards common goals, with attention to detail and accuracy. It is also important that you have a strong interest in technology and a willingness to share your knowledge. You contribute with a strong problem-solving mindset and endurance to deliver and document high-quality technical solutions. You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant technical discipline, alternatively proven experience from working with HMI development or user experience. Proficiency in English, both verbal and written is required. Knowledge of HVDC technology or the MACHTM system will be an advantage. Additional informationIs this the right role for you?
