Job Scope
High level purpose of function
This role combines experimental characterisation of CAM development materials with computational simulations aiming at a better understanding for the electrochemical performance of the materials.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to)
Overall areas of responsibility and activities
· Lead the design and execution of research projects focused on the electrochemical performance of cathode active materials (CAM).
• Employ both experimental and computational methods to evaluate CAM properties, including electrochemical characterization techniques and simulation tools.
• Collaborate with material scientists and other engineers to optimize CAM based on experimental and computational insights.
• Analyse and interpret data from both simulations and experiments to understand CAM performance.
• Develop and validate computational models to simulate electrochemical behaviours, collaborating with simulation experts as needed.
• Author technical documentation, contribute to patent applications, and publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into larger system designs and development roadmaps.
Collaborate with external partners, i.e. universities and institutes around materials development and analysis.
Stay updated by reading scientific literature regarding cathode active materials and materials analysis.
Initiate and supervise master students and interns in projects related to CAM materials and process development.


Requirements
Education or other qualifications or competences relevant in order to succeed in the job
Qualifications/education/experience
• Master's or Ph.D. in Electrochemistry, Material Science, Physics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrochemical research, with expertise in both experimental and computational methods.
• Proficiency in electrochemical techniques (e.g., galvanostatic, potentiostatic and impedance spectroscopy) and simulation tools (e.g., Python, Matlab, Mathematica, R, COMSOL).

• Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical data in an understandable manner.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus
