In Sala we work with global projects in minerals processing equipment and slurry-handling equipment.
As Quotation Engineer for the quotation department in Sala, you will give necessary support for proposals or a quotation of process, grinding and other equipment. By leading the offering process of selected typical mineral processing machines, you will significantly contribute to the success of the business line. You will be involved in the coordination for several projects quotations simultaneously. In order to be successful in this role, you will establish a network with the purchasing-, product management- and other relevant departments.
Your main responsibilities are to:
• Develop the equipment proposals in time and according to the valid company standards for approval and submission to our sales organizations.
• Review and understand customer's/contracts requirements in terms of design specifications, investment and legal issues.
• Review and understand the project quality requirements, monitor and ensure compliance.
• Develop an understanding of prices for the offer components and keep yourself updated about actual market and price trends.
• Attend meetings as per requirements and other internal/external meetings required to support the project.
• Support the project for a successful proposal and contract negotiation and maintain an ethical, proficient and co-operative approach with clients, suppliers and colleagues.
• Prepare or coordinate cost estimates for proposal's and required approval's
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as requested.
In special cases domestic and international travel may be necessary.
To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate has an education and degree in industrial management, project management or similar and a good understanding of project related costs in the machine or construction industry. You are used to work accurately and you maintain a good presentation style.
Other qualifications are:
• Good knowledge in the English technical language, fluent in reading/writing and speech.
• Strong computer skills, including all Microsoft Office Products and Lotus Notes.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and effective interpersonal skills are required, as you will have frequent interaction with both internal and external customers and suppliers.
• Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment.
You are a highly motivated individual with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. You can work on several projects at one time and function effectively both as a member of a team and as an individual contributor.
