Here is an excellent chance to join a leading, international engineering company. Metso is a leading global provider of equipment, solutions and services to the mining and construction industries. In Sala we work with global projects in mineral processing and slurry-handling equipment.
We are now looking for a Quotation Engineer to join our Quotation department. In this role your main responsibilities will be:
• Developing the equipment proposals in time and according to the valid company standards for approval and submission to our sales organizations.
• Reviewing and understanding customer's/contracts requirements in terms of design specifications, investment and legal issues.
• Reviewing and understanding the project quality requirements, monitoring and ensuring compliance. Developing an understanding of prices for the offer components and keeping yourself updated about actual market and price trends.
• Attending meetings as per requirements and other internal/external meetings required to support the project.
• Supporting the project for a successful proposal and contract negotiation and maintain an ethical, proficient and co-operative approach with clients, suppliers and colleagues.
To be successful in this position, you will have a degree in engineering or economics and a good understanding of project related costs in the machine or construction industry.
You are used to working accurately and have strong organizational skills. As a person you are a highly motivated individual with the ability to work on several projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. You have excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and effective interpersonal skills, as you will have frequent interaction with both internal and external customers and suppliers.
Other qualifications are:
• Good knowledge in the English technical language, fluent in reading/writing and speech.
• Strong computer skills, including all Microsoft Office Products and Lotus Notes.
