IFRS 9 has come in force from 1st of January 2018 worldwide and has established a new way of working with credit risk management for the financing industry. Credit risk management is a core of our operations and is of utmost importance for a profitable and expanding portfolio and operations. As of today Scania Financial Services is amongst the world leading captive financial services of heavy vehicles with very low credit losses.

We are looking for an experienced quantitative analyst for our central credit risk department to strengthen our team in Södertälje. Main focus will be working with our impairment models for IFRS 9. On long term basis some quantitative credit risk work related to credit scoring models might be included in the position.

The position is reporting to the Global Credit Risk and Asset Manager.

Job description

The main role of this position is to drive the further development of our impairment models for IFRS 9. The main parts of the job include:

• Improving and supporting our impairment models for IFRS 9
• Validation of our impairment models for IFRS 9
• Working with data quality for our impairment models for IFRS 9
• Analysing and reporting of the monthly results from the IFRS 9 models
• Act as contact towards the IT department in development of the IFRS 9 IT system
• Participate in other projects related to quantitative credit risk analysis

Your profile

• Experience in credit risk modelling (ECL, PD and LGD modelling) will be an advantage
• At least 5 years of working experience from the financial services or banking industry
• Strong analytical skills in economics , statistics and financial mathematics
• High level of computer programming skills
• Relevant university degree
• Knowledge of the asset-based financing industry will be an advantage
• Good communication skills, including ability to work in a multicultural environment
• Self-motivated and business driven with a high level of dedication
• Focused and organised with an ability to prioritise and deliver with quality
• Fluent in English, other languages are a plus
