As a Quality Specialist, you will have a broad range of quality duties which includes both practical work and desk work. Together with the quality, R&D and production team you will work to ensure that the products meet the quality goals that Prysmian and their customers requires. You will be working in a plant with approx. 180 employees working with manufacturing of power cables for the dedicated market of Sweden, Norway, Baltics and Denmark.
The role is focusing on quality in manufacturing processes, product quality including type testing, raw material quality but also participate in maintenance and improvements of ISO certified management system. Key deliveries include test protocols and quality data books to customers, maintain quality of in-process testing, test equipment in the plant and follow-up of non-conformities. Practical lab work is also included in the role, as hands-on experience is crucial both to ensure product and raw material quality.
A skilled production team, lab facilities, R&D resources and Prysmian Group's expertise are there to support you in further developing quality in manufacturing.
Your daily duties will include:
• Analysis of root-causes of non-conformities
• Statistical analysis of non-conformities and production data
• Responsible for preparation of quality data books to customers.
• Follow-up of quality measurement equipment in the plant
• Practical lab work in type testing of cables and control of raw materials
• Work prevention with continuous improvement
• Maintain and further develop the company's management system
• Support to the organization in matters relating to quality and environment including customer questionnaires
Who are we looking for?
A person with a quality mindset with the ability to work proactive to improve quality in a manufacturing environment. Somebody who achieve consistent results, focusing on priorities and ensuring both effectiveness and efficiency in the process of delivery of both practical work and desk work. A person who will take ownership of the area or responsibility and delivering on promises.
We are looking for a person with a bachelor degree (Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar).
Ability to cooperate well with people in all levels in the organization is also of great value in this role, and ability to put oneself in the customer's place when it comes to requirements and specifications.
As the company operates internationally and collaborates with other factories in Europe, we see that you have strong written and spoken communication skills in Swedish and English.
Knowledgeable in regular office tools like Excel, and SAP experience is an advantage.
