As a Quality Manager at Gnutti Carlo Kungsör, one will lead a department consisting of 10 co-workers in different positions. The department has recently gone through a reorganization concerning new role descriptions and work methods. The change requires a leader with experience of product quality and the ability to seek the best in every person, which is reflected in a result oriented co-worker's development.
Act as the "extended arm of the customer" regarding production quality. Support production in quality matters and educate quality technicians and management team in quality tools and methods. The Quality Manager should be the expert when it comes to quality techniques, and must have a good customer contact skill. The mindset of a person in this position is to evaluate each situation from a customer perspective and recommend activities valuable for them.
This function is the "driver" of the deviation work and helps the organization to take a reactive event and turn it into a proactive activity. In the long run the work will create more resources for continues improvement (CI) and value stream activities hence the re-occurring issues will decrease.
A Quality Manager should provide information of the production quality status across the company and work to raise the level at all time. In close collaboration with the Value Stream Manager and the Quality Technician to take responsibility for the activities connected to the deviation work but also for collecting data that provides fact based decisions for the management team.
A person in this position can describe/visualize the status of the plant at any time and will be able to show progress from data or system in any forum.
Support continues improvements initiatives as well as key projects (i.e. new products and/or processes) to improve costs and KPI's.

Background
You most likely come from an Quality Manager position with automotive background, and with documented skills in the area of Quality.

Education
Educated to technical disciplines (Preferred engineering and / or technical diploma). We also see the benefits with a diploma in Lean/Six-Sigma Black-Belt.


Skills
• MANUFACTURING PROCESS AND PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE: Proven ability and knowledge of core manufacturing processes. Ability to understand the key production techniques and identify areas of improvement. Must be able to demonstrate shop floor experience that displays ability to communicate with operators, key workers and other functions.
• UNDERSTANDING CUSTOMER NEEDS & CUSTOMER FOCUS: Able to build and maintain effective relationships with the external customer and Internal Customer (i.e. downstream processes, Integrated Supply Chain, process eng.). Understands what the Customer needs and wants. Has good understanding of customer quality requirements.
• TEAM PLAYER: Able to guide and motivate co-workers in quality activities. Skills to balance the work among each team member for an effective work.
• PROBLEM SOLVING AND DECISION MAKING: Good understanding and process based use of problem solving techniques. Ability to make fact based decisions in a timely manner so that corrective actions can be manage to prevent re-occurrence.
• PLANNING, ORGANISING AND TIME MANAGEMENT: Effective co-ordination and planning of own and teams work, tracking progress and managing follow up regularly. Ability to manage multi priorities in a coordinated way.
• COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Proven skills in written and verbal communications (both in Swedish and English). Ability to listen and make time for collaboration and discussions with co-workers.
