hela Sverige The European Spallation Source ESS AB will design, build and operate a multi-disciplinary, large-scale research infrastructure based on the world's most powerful neutron source. ESS will provide scientists with unique and powerful neutron scattering instruments for the study of a large range of materials - from polymers and pharmaceuticals to membranes and molecules.
The ESS project is partnered by 16 European countries, and hosted by Sweden and Denmark. The ESS will be built in Lund, Sweden, by a collaboration of European scientists and engineers. ESS is planned to produce the first neutrons by 2019.
The Programme Directorate at the European Spallation Source ESS AB in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for a Quality Manager.
Description of directorate/division
During 2012, ESS AB has established the principles for quality management and started the establishing of its quality management system. The next logical step will be to find the person who will lead the further development of the quality management system for the construction phase. The position will also include establishing of a Quality group of approximately 5-8 quality engineers.
Description of main responsibilities
As Quality Manager at ESS you will:
• Continue to develop and optimise the quality management system for the design, construction, commissioning and operation of ESS
• Coordinate the quality activities together with the activities of safety, environment and security of ESS
• Establish and lead the work of the quality group (5 - 8 persons)
• Participate and give advice to the ESS Management Group
• Act as expert and the leading person to whom all within ESS can address QA related questions
Qualifications
* Have experience as a quality manager in an international environment and in rapidly changing organisations and company structures.
• Are used to working in industries regulated by strict legal requirements.
• Have experience from leadership positions.
• Have a university degree in science.
Experience of working in an international environment is essential.
Excellent oral and written English skills are a prerequisite; knowledge of other European languages would be an advantage.
