Job Description
IKEA Home Smart
IKEA Home smart was initiated as a project in 2012 with the ambition to enrich life at home by incorporating digital elements and technologies into products and solutions. Several launches within the smart home has followed since then and now IKEA has taken the strategic decision to invest even more in the home smart area by establishing IKEA Home smart as its own business unit within IKEA of Sweden.
By working together with all other departments within IKEA, the business unit of IKEA Home Smart will drive the digital transformation of the IKEA range, improving and transforming existing businesses and developing new businesses to bring more diverse smart products to the many people. About the job
As our Quality Leader you'll lead the quality agenda across our Value Stream teams, and create the quality strategy. You'll guide and support the quality engineers working in these teams and govern that the quality work is done based on defined and agreed principles, requirements and ways-of-working. You'll support the teams in achieving a high quality standard by sharing best practices, driving automation and improving the tools we are using. Coaching and supporting the engineers in the development team is an important part of the job. So we foster a 'quality by design' mindset, which limits the testing in the end.
Qualifications
You probably have a University Degree in Engineering and are familiar with quality engineering principles and practices and experienced in combining agile with quality assurance and test automation. You have working experience in a product development environment in the area of electronics or IoT products. You might have your background within electronics, quality, software engineering or similar. You like to drive innovative projects with a problem solving approach built on curiosity and you have the courage to try new solutions and explore the unknown.
With your excellent communication skills you have the capability to build strong relations with both internal as external stakeholders. You are passionate about creating the best technical solutions for our customers at the right price with the right quality, beautiful in design and with focus on sustainability.
