Overview:
We are looking for a Quality Improvement Manager within Essity 's global unit for Global Brand, Innovations and Sustainability which delivers global brand development and innovation for Tork, the world's leading professional hygiene brand. The Quality Improvement Manager will contribute to a global technical center of excellence responsible for total quality management, dispenser tooling & manufacturing, documentation control, new technology development (R&D), and product development support. This position will manage the dispenser quality assurance work within the Category for new product development, planning/deployment/launch, and corrective and prevention actions for existing products.
Essity's offering comprises complete hygiene solutions, including toilet paper, paper hand towels, napkins, hand soap, hand lotion, hand sanitizers, dispensers, cleaning and wiping products, as well as service offerings.
The role is located in Gothenburg, Sweden and will report to Global Technical Product Management Director.
About the role:
The Quality Improvement Manager will be responsible for driving First Time Right quality in the development and launch of new products, driving a continuous improvement culture across the full product lifecycle and supply chain. The role will be an internal expert and key contact for internal/external stakeholders in the areas of Total Quality Management, Design for Quality, production system validation, and continuous improvement. This role will share design and technical knowledge, acting as an expert advisor to internal product developers, external engineering partners, manufacturing vendors, sourcing, and supply chain. This is a global position, which will interact with many stakeholders from various countries on a regular basis.
Champion First Time Right quality in product development, through coaching of relevant quality tools and processes (PPAP).
Ensure the voice of the customer is at the heart of all efforts through the definition of technical product requirements, validation procedures, and manufacturing controls to deliver superior products to the market.
Manage continuous improvement activities/projects with to add value in product design and manufacturing processes.
Work with product owners and suppliers to support the root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions related to customer complaints.
Support Sourcing and SQM (Supplier Quality Management) in audits and validation of suppliers, production transfer, cost Improvement activities, and ongoing business review meetings.

Who are you:
Minimum 3 years' experience within a similar role
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Materials, or related technical field
Six Sigma certification and working experience is a benefit
Demonstrated capabilities to lead continuous improvement efforts across a network of stakeholders
The position requires working knowledge in:
PPAP or other quality assurance processes
Root Cause Analysis
Value Stream Mapping or other continuous improvement methodologies
Demonstrated ability to lead projects in a collaborative international environment
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in collaborative international environment
Self-motivated, objective driven with ability to work autonomously
Fluent in English, both written and oral
Preferably knowledge in Swedish, both written and oral
Travel will be required
