Quality is something that is very important to Axis and we take great pride in delivering world class, high quality products to our customers. Axis is steadily increasing the deliveries and in order to further develop our quality assurance activities we are now looking for two driven, structured and highly capable Quality Engineers with analytical mindsets.
We believe that at least one of the two positions will be filled by an experienced candidate with minimum four years of previous experience from supplier quality assurance work in an international organisation, preferably from an electro-mechanic development or manufacturing company. Apart from this we believe suitable candidates for both positions have:
• A technical university degree or similar
• Strong ability to collaborate across organizational boarders
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Knowledge of quality management tools such as FMEA, capability studies, SPC
Experience from environmental management is considered a plus.
THE QUALITY DEPARTMENT
The Quality department handles issues regarding quality and environment. We participate in all stages of the product lifecycle to ensure that quality and environmental aspects always are considered in each phase. Other tasks are writing error-reports when something has failed, holding improvement meetings, improving Axis environmental aspects, handling all RMA (broken units) and being responsible for Axis Quality and Environmental Management System.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As Quality Engineer at Axis you will play an important role in the Quality team. Since Axis is a global organisation, you will work in an international setting and an important part of your job will be to perform supplier evaluations of new and existing suppliers around the world. In your role you will work closely with R&D and our Purchasing department in the product development projects making sure that our supply chain can deliver to the high quality standards that we demand. In cooperation with R&D, our Support organization, our Configuration & Logistics Centres and our suppliers you will also drive activities to improve the quality of our existing product portfolio. Your main tasks will be to:
• Participate in product development and product maintenance projects and drive quality assurance activities
• Perform supplier evaluations of new and existing international suppliers
• Conduct continuous improvement projects and activities internally and towards suppliers to meet goals and requirements
• Handle error reports
• Aggregate and analyse statistics
• Develop process descriptions and routines
You will have approximately 50 days of international travelling per year.
