About the role
DeLaval is now hiring for the position Quality Engineer where we are looking for a driven and highly motivated professional to be a part of the Supply Chain Quality team in Tumba.
As Quality Engineer you will lead the work with quality improvements and quality assurance towards our customers, suppliers and manufacturing units. You will be working cross functional with colleagues from several of our markets and production sites.
The ideal candidate has a technical curiosity and the eager to learn more about the connection between customer experience, quality, product development and manufacturing technologies.

Main responsibilities:

• Lead and develop work with quality improvements related to customer complaints
• Initiate and drive process improvement related to management of customer complaints
• Lead, facilitate and support continuous improvement work in cross-functional teams
• Support R&D, manufacturing and suppliers with quality assurance methodologies

About you
To be successful in this role you need to be result oriented with a high inner drive. You are a true team player and possess excellent communication skills. As a person, you are curious with a holistic perspective and you enjoy sharing your knowledge and motivating others. You have an analytical and systematic approach combined with a deep interest in quality, technology and production processes.

Important for the role:
• Engineering Degree
• Preferable 5 years of working experience in manufacturing industry
• Experience from driving continuous improvements and knowledge of QM/QC tools
• Experience of Lean Production and Six Sigma is an advantage
• Experience from driving quality improvements towards customers and suppliers
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to communicate and gain trust in different countries and cultures.

The position is fulltime placed in Tumba. Since our operation covers a large geographical area some travelling will be required.
