www.autocom.seThe Role As a Quality Engineer, you play a central role in ensuring quality throughout the entire product development lifecycle. Working closely with development teams, you help build quality into products and processes from the start, reducing risks and improving long-term product reliability.
The role combines strategic quality work with hands-on involvement in testing and quality assurance activities. You will contribute with your expertise in test methodology, quality processes, defect prevention and continuous improvement while supporting teams in establishing effective ways of working.
You will be an important driver in developing test strategies, strengthening quality assurance practices and ensuring that products meet both customer and business expectations.
In this role, you will 🔹Drive quality assurance activities throughout the product development lifecycle. 🔹Define and implement test strategies, test plans and quality processes. 🔹Perform and support risk assessments. 🔹Review requirements and acceptance criteria from a quality and testability perspective. 🔹Plan, coordinate and support testing activities. 🔹Work with defect management, root cause analysis and corrective actions. 🔹Drive preventive quality initiatives to reduce recurring issues. 🔹Monitor, analyze and communicate quality metrics and trends. 🔹Identify quality risks and improvement opportunities. 🔹Support development teams in applying shift-left testing principles. 🔹Contribute to the continuous improvement of development and quality processes. 🔹Develop and improve quality gates and quality assurance practices. 🔹Support and guide teams in test methodology, quality assurance and modern testing approaches. 🔹Contribute to the development of test automation solutions where appropriate.
Your Profile We are looking for someone with experience in quality engineering, software testing or quality assurance within product development who wants to help improve how quality is built into products and development processes.
We believe you have experience with: 🔹Test methodology, test design and test planning. 🔹Defining test strategies and applying risk-based testing. 🔹Reviewing requirements and acceptance criteria. 🔹Defect management and root cause analysis. 🔹Preventive and continuous quality improvement activities. 🔹Quality assurance in software development environments. 🔹CI/CD processes and shift-left testing. 🔹Interpreting and following up on quality metrics. 🔹Basic programming skills. 🔹Professional language skills in English & Swedish both written and spoken
As a person, you are analytical, strategic and quality-focused. You have strong communication skills and enjoy collaborating with different stakeholders. You are comfortable challenging requirements, solutions and ways of working when needed, while maintaining a pragmatic approach and balancing quality, business needs and delivery objectives. A coaching mindset and an interest in helping teams succeed are highly valued in this role.
