Salesforce Chatter is looking for exceptional quality engineer to help us build the next generation of our intelligence and recommendations engine. You will join a cross-functional team of talented technologists who want to solve insanely challenging problems, deliver amazing solutions to customers, and be part of the next generation of social computing.
This position would suit a quality-focused software engineer who has knowledge of SQA. Salesforce.com has headquarters in San Francisco so you should be happy with occasional travel and working as part of an international R&D team.
Responsibilities:
• Develop expertise in the features/product areas owned by your team
• Know and care about what the customer wants from our service
• Write test plans, test cases/scripts, and bug reports
• Develop automated tests in Java. Utilize automation tools such as Selenium, HTTPUnit, JUnit
• Working on complex functional testing projects that require a deep understanding of the application logic and dependencies
• Participate in exploratory testing efforts for new feature areas
• Participate in the scrum team under our agile development process utilizing principles such as test-driven-development
RequiredSkills:
• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent)
• In depth knowledge or experience in programming Java or other object-oriented language, object oriented design
• Knowledge of SQA methodologies, tools and approaches
• Good written and spoken English
DesiredSkills:
• Experience in software quality assurance or software development
• Knowledge of Javascript, HTML5, CSS3 and browser differences
• Knowledge of SQL, Oracle or other RDBMS
• Using Agile development methodologies such as Scrum and Test Driven Development
