Your role
The Project Quality Engineer is responsible for quality assurance of the project. The role includes planning, implementation and monitoring of quality related activities in order to maintain or improve the quality performance within the project. This role is working closely with the Business team for the T-7A program and you will interact with both suppliers and customers. Multiple interfaces, both internal and external, should feel exiting for someone applying for this position. International travels occur.
The main tasks:

Secure compliance to quality requirements within the T-7A project
*
Support the implementation of new business systems as part of Industry 4.0
*
Develop and/or support qualifications and quality plans within the project.
*
Develop and/or support the implementation of the organizational management system.
*
Corrective actions management
*
Be a part of the Industrialization Project for West Lafayette
*
Continuously analyze, identify and initiate improvements to part design, industrial setup, internal work processes and supplier relation management
Your profile
What we are looking for is someone with a high level of relevant education and/or experience from a very similar occupation. The big variety of procured parts calls for someone that has no problem of learning and understanding new manufacturing techniques, new products and new customer requirements/expectations. Multiple interfaces, both internal and external, should feel exiting for someone applying for this position. International travels occur with medium frequency.
Required skills:

Master degree or relevant experience in the quality field
*
Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written
*
Experience in using quality technology tools for problem solving (six sigma etc)
Desired skills:

Experience from aerospace
*
Experience in working in projects
*
Mechanical engineering background with focus on quality and manufacturing techniques
*
Certified Black Belt
*
Manage supplier relationship across cultures, i.e. India, US/Canada, Europe, UAE etc
*
Experience in First Article Inspection review
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

Example of main deliverables are T7-A Red Hawk Aft, Boeing 787 Large Cargo Doors and Airbus A321 Over Wing Exit Doors. The Business Unit Aerospace System is part of the Business Area Aeronautics.
