We are now looking for our new Quality & Environmental Director to join us on our successful journey.
About the position
As Quality Director, you will have the overall responsibility for leading and developing our quality and sustainability processes. You will work closely with the quality managers and ensure that our processes and products meet both internal and external quality standards. Your role means that you will drive improvement initiatives and ensure that our company objectives are met. You will also ensure that our quality and sustainability process and procedures are followed throughout all our sites, worldwide.
You will have a Quality Manager from the Headquarter reporting to you. Quality Managers at our other sites reports to you in a dotted line. You are their coach and mentor.
The position as Quality Director grants a place in the company's global management team and you will report to the CEO of KB Components. Your possibility of influencing the quality and sustainability process is unlimited within the frames of our business plan and budget. You are the contact person to certification bodies and authorities.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement quality and sustainability strategies and systems to ensure performance in all processes.
Lead quality checks and reviews, including internal and external audits.
Collaborate with the function managers to improve and develop their processes.
Train and support staff on quality and sustainability-related issues and ensure compliance with quality and sustainability standards.
Analyze quality and sustainability data and report on results and improvement needs to management.
Manage escalated quality problems in cooperation with the quality teams and drive actions.
Qualifications
Masters degree or equaling in mechanical engineering, materials science, or similar relevant field.
6Sigma blackbelt certification is preferred.
Solid experience in quality and sustainability work, preferably within injection molding or related manufacturing processes.
Deep knowledge of quality standards and practices, including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and other relevant certifications.
Experience in leading and developing quality departments and teams.
Strong analytical skills and experience in using quality tools and systems (e.g. core tools & 6Sigma).
Excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as an ability to work both strategically and operationally.
Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
