Our Development Quality team ensures the delivery of safe, effective and compliant medicines to patients participating in global clinical studies. We set standards and apply scientific and Quality expertise to our exciting drug pharmaceutical development portfolio and help maintain our reputation and license to operate. We also play an important part in the commercialisation of new medicines, working closely with our colleagues in Operations. Development Quality is a Global group, with teams located in Macclesfield, (UK), Gothenburg (Sweden), Durham (North Carolina, US), Gaithersburg (US), Redwood City (US) and Bad Homburg (Germany).

We are now looking for a Quality Data Analyst to strengthen our Development Quality team! The Quality Data Analysts examine complex data and turns it into information and insight to make business decisions. This role is ideal if you enjoy working with numbers and data sets, have an aptitude for computer systems and software, and have strong analytical abilities.

You will work in a strategic focus team within a Quality organisation which operates in a R&D environment. To succeed in this dynamic environment, you need to have an entrepreneurial mindset by seeing opportunities. You will be interacting with partners on various levels within the R&D organisation to transform the way we use data and analytics to develop and deliver medicines for our patients.

The evidence and insights you generate will be used to inform product and quality system improvement strategies and initiatives. This will require a good understanding of strong scientific and technical data science expertise.

You will also overlook the safe operation of DevQ operation of IT applications, through your insight in IT you will drive improvements. Your previous experience with data science and hands-on experience with technical projects will support your ability to deploy improvement across the R&D organisation.


Responsibilities

Overall, you will perform Analyses of Quality performance:

* Asking scientific questions, understanding the data requirements and making recommendations on fit-for-purpose solutions
* Continuously improve Quality metrics to support analytics needs, and gain access to data through collaboration and data generation
* Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
* Collaborate with DevQ management, Business Process Owner and partners to locate and define new process improvement opportunities
* Ensure efficient use of IT applications (IT systems or platforms) to meet business and technology needs, continuously oversee
* You will work alongside Business Process Owners to continuously simplify and improve and plan, drive and coordinate improvement to meet user needs
* Continuously liaise best practice and provide advice and technical training to users
* Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the business intelligence and guidelines applicable to their area. Keep abreast of IT technology trends and developments


Essential Skills

* Appropriate scientific degree or equivalent experience, ideally gained from working within a pharmaceutical GMP environment and a pharmaceutical development organisation
* Analytical and data-driven mindset, ability through analyses to see trends and patterns
* Engagement, communication and stakeholder management skills, including presentation and influencing skills
* A structured problem-solving attitude, preferable a LeanSix Sigma certification
* Experience of working in a global organisation with complex/geographical context would be preferred
* Very good general knowledge of IT systems, system security and troubleshooting including Microsoft applications and preferable Minitab
* Preferable cross industry business awareness/business domain knowledge
