hela Sverige The Quality Division at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for a Electrical Quality Control Officer, Low and High Voltage.
Description of division
The Quality Division is responsible for Quality Management at ESS with special focus on Quality Assurance and Quality Control. The Quality Division acts as a support function to the entire ESS project during design, construction, commissioning and operation of the ESS facility and currently is in an evolving phase. As Quality Control Officer - Electrical, you will join the Quality Control team within the division. The Quality Control Officer - Electrical will report to the Head of Quality Division.
Description of main responsibilities
The main responsibilities for the Quality Control Officer - Electrical will be to coordinate and support the different ESS project 's quality control activities together with the other Quality Control Officers at the Quality Division, during the buildup of the facility. Gradually the tasks will transfer into more traditional operational Quality Control activities with particular emphasis on:
• Develop, maintain and secure ESS wide awareness and compliance with Quality Control electrical steering documets.
• Responsibility for Quality Control electrical documentation review and approval
• Reponsibility for Quality Control electrical inspections and inspection records.
• Provide standards, regulatory and technical advice to the projects and entire ESS organisation.
• Coordinate inspections together with people responsible for electrical installations
• Review and approve overall Quality Control Plans, from a electrical perspective.
• Organise and maintain Quality Control records in our document management system.
• Support and manage in-kind contributors* Quality Control routines.
• Participate in review meetings to resolve non-conformances.
• Participate in internal/external audits with a Quality Control perspective.
• Support the procurement department in Quality Control related issues such as supplier assessments and visits.
• Perform Quality Control Inspections on project provisions.
• In-Kind contribution - represent the provision of goods or services to an organisation by one of its partners valued in monetary terms according to rules agreed upon beforehand.
The successful applicant will assist in, and be partly responsible for, developing the Quality Control - Electrical processes and procedures in collaboration with the Head of Quality Division.
The candidate will work in close cooperation with Quality discipline experts, the Environment, Safety & Health division, ESS sub-projects and In-Kind partners.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position we believe you have a Master in relevant Electrical engineering discipline or equivalent, and at least eight years of work experience in the field of Quality Control within the electrical domain. You have a well-developed ability to listen, consult others and to communicate proactively with a high level of integrity. Building wide and effective networks of contacts both inside and outside the organisation comes naturally to you. You structure information to meet the needs and understanding of the intended audience and writes in a well-structured and logical way. Your focus is on customer needs and satisfaction and you monitor and maintain a high level of quality and productivity in your deliveries. Excellent oral and written English skills and a well-developed ability for both collaborative and independent work are expected.

If you have experience of working in a highly regulated business/organisation such as research facilities, nuclear industry, life science or oil&gas is a major advantage.
Duration & Location
The position is permanent with a six month's probation time.
