We are a diverse multinational team with strong focus on strategic sourcing and digital transformation of operational purchases. In joining us you will play an important part in building our plant in Västerås to the next level.
As the Indirect Purchasing Specialist for our Labs facility in Västerås you have an exciting opportunity to work across all Indirect categories. You enable our stakeholders to run at speed while being cost-effective. You will be part of our Västerås local Quality Control Team. This position is responsible for early and ongoing engagement with internal stakeholders and external suppliers from pursuit through product delivery. You will get the chance to have a real impact on our success story in Sweden and see the immediate results of your work.
Key responsibilities:
Support project and site teams with strategic purchases and sourcing council approvals
Develops purchasing plan/schedule for the site
Work closely with internal departments to help achieving the preset production plan
Act as liaison between vendors and internal requester
Handle local purchasing of materials and services
Track orders and ensure timely delivery
Has thorough understanding of the local market
Minimize risk by ensuring alternative sources of supply for critical items
Responsible to answer all of the requisitions process and order-related questions
Skills & Requirements
Education/Experience
A degree in Engineering/Economics is preferable
Working experience of more than 2 years in purchasing
Experience identifying requirements and clearly documenting specifications
Fluency in English is required
Experience in working with local suppliers is preferred
Experience and interest in the manufacturing industry is a plus
Team player, able to influence and convince other team members and project stakeholders

Can do attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit
Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently
