Would you like to contribute to the safer use of medicines globally? We are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist in the new Quality Management Department . You will play an important role in the design and implementation the quality management system.

Uppsala Monitoring Centre (UMC) is an independent, non-profit foundation and international centre for medicines safety and scientific research. We work with the World Health Organization, and engage with stakeholders who share our vision of advancing medicines safety together with the global pharmacovigilance community. With an ultimate goal of influencing the lives and safety of patients for the better, now and in the future, we carry out pharmacovigilance research, develop products, and nurture collaborations with medicines safety stakeholders across the world.

For our new Quality Management Department, we are now looking for someone who can support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the UMC Quality Management System (QMS). The primary purpose of our QMS is to enhance customer satisfaction, streamline processes, reduce inefficiencies, and continuously improve our products/services.

What you will do

- Actively support the organisation with expertise and knowledge regarding the Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Contribute to the establishment of a systematic and structured approach to managing quality across all aspects of our operations
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the QMS
- Assist in developing policies, procedures, work instructions and standard operating procedures
- Offer support within the organisation in developing and implementing processes to ensure high quality
- Provide the organisation with training in the quality system
- Assist in completion of internal audits and coordinate external audits when requested
- Continuously review and ensure the QMS is fit for purpose and enables the organisation to fulfil its goals
- Contribute to a culture of continual improvement.

Who you are:

- You have a university degree, preferably within a related field
- Experience of working with quality management systems and related processes
- Experience in writing QMS related documents
- Fluent in written and oral English
- Experience of internal and external audit is an advantage
- Experienced in intracultural communication is also an advantage.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to develop, implement and maintain UMC's Quality Management System. You are curious, a fast learner, solve problems independently and meet deadlines. Furthermore, you are always looking for improvements and have an eye for detail. You are analytical, results-oriented and come up with sound and rational judgements.

Interviews will be held after the holidays.

Uppsala Monitoring Centre (UMC) is a centre for international service and scientific research in the field of pharmacovigilance. We are the WHO Collaborating Centre for International Drug Monitoring, and manage the technical and operational aspects of the WHO Programme for International Drug Monitoring since 1978.

As an independent, non-profit foundation, we support the World Health Organization, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders who share our vision of advancing medicines safety. Through research and development of new scientific methods, we explore the benefits and harms of medicines for patients, and offer products and services used by health authorities and the pharmaceutical industry worldwide

UMC's working language is English. We normally apply a probationary period to new appointments.

UMC follows the collective agreements between the Swedish Agency for Government Employers and Saco-S and ST. Union representatives are Malin Zaar (Saco-S) and Jessica Avasol (ST), +46 (0)18-65 60 60.
