hela Sverige The Quality Division at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for a Quality Assurance Officer.
Description of directorate/division
The Quality Division is responsible for Quality Management at ESS with special focus on Quality Assurance and Quality Control. One of the main objectives is to develop, implement and maintain a relevant Management System (MS) at ESS. The Quality Division acts as a support function to the entire ESS project during design, construction, commissioning and operation of the ESS facility and currently is in an evolving phase. As Quality Assurance Officer, you will join the Quality Assurance team within the division. The Quality Assurance Officer will report to the Head of Quality Division.
Description of main responsibilities
The main responsibilities for the Quality Assurance Officer will be to support the Quality Division and the entire ESS with its sub-projects in the build-up phase of our Management System, addressing various disciplines (quality, safety, radiation protection, configuration management e.t.c), gradually the tasks will transfer into more traditional operational Quality Assurance activities such as:
• Develop, implement and continuously improve the MS at ESS.
• Assist in developing and executing a system for:
• Internal Audits
• Non-conformance and corrective actions management
• Document Control
• Steering documents
• Train personnel and implement MS-processes in the ESS organisation.
• Project wide support in Quality Management-issues.
• Participate in and manage Internal and External audits and reviews.
• Initiate and manage internal Quality Improving projects.
• Perform supplier Quality Assessments.
• Participate in supplier site visits.
The candidate will work in close cooperation with Quality discipline experts, the Environment, Safety & Health division, ESS sub-projects and In-Kind partners.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position you are required to have a Master degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent and at least eight years of work experience in the field of Quality Assurance. You have a well-developed ability to listen, consult others and to communicate proactively with a high level of integrity. Building wide and effective networks of contacts both inside and outside the organisation comes naturally to you. You structure information to meet the needs and understanding of the intended audience and writes in a well-structured and logical way. Your focus is on customer needs and satisfaction and you monitor and maintain a high level of quality and productivity in your deliveries. Excellent oral and written English skills and a well-developed ability for both collaborative and independent work are expected.

If you have experience of working in a highly regulated business/organisation such as research facilities, nuclear industry, life science or oil&gas is an major advantage.
Duration & Location
The position is permanent with six months initial probationary period. Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden. The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
