Procera Networks is seeking a talented Systems Quality Assurance Engineer, who has a strong background in networking as well as delivering stable and top quality products. This position is an opportunity to join a highly skilled, top-notch production team from the ground up. This challenging and creative position involves:
• Determining the best methods to test and qualify our entire solution in a real world-like deployment
• Benchmarking performance and scalability tests
• Maintaining stability and quality on past and present releases through regression and longevity testing
• Delivering scheduled releases in a timely fashion
• Managing replicated customer test labs
• Maintaining external qualification through our Beta Program
This is a very technical position that requires hands on skills with Networking equipment and protocols.
RESOURCES
• A well experienced company/team available to assist SQA in assuring top system solution quality and stability
• Understanding of Networking equipment and testing tools (Shenick, Breaking Point and Smartbits)
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Procera Network's products across a range of platforms including ATCA gear, 1U and 2U appliance- based systems, and servers. The QA engineer will be responsible for developing test plans and strategies in addition to performing the actual testing. Our goal will be to find bugs internally, and fix them, before our customers do.
Desired Skills & Experience
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent and 3+ years of hands on hardware testing experience.
• Must have strong problem solving skills.
• Ability to work cohesively as a team member; interacting and building positive working relationships within the various departments.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to muti-task.
• Demonstrated ability to be flexible, prioritize work and follow instructions.
• Design, implement and execute automated test cases and user cases using Python and/or C, C++ or equivalent.
• Strong TCP-IP networking background.
• Incident tracking system experience.
• Demonstrated experience from telecom/networking (especially understanding of Radius, DHCP, Diameter, ipv4/6, redundancy solutions).
• Demonstrated experience in working with test frameworks and automated build environments.
• Demonstrated experience from mobile networking (especially understanding of for instance PCRF, Gx, Gy, OCS).
• Demonstrated experience in working with test frameworks and automated build environments.
• Practical familiarity with BGP, MPLS, OSPF, Radius, DHCP, 802.1q VLANS.
• Understanding of Networking equipment and testing tools
• Design, implement and execute performance, stability and scalability test cases and scenarios based on product specifications. Any experience with different performance testing tools is a plus.
• Python or other programming/scripting experience.
• Certification according to ISTQB, CCNA and CCNP is a plus
• This position is based in Varberg Sweden.
