Description of division
The responsibilities of the Conventional Facilities (CF) Division include design and construction of all buildings and systems required for operation of the accelerator, target and instruments. It also includes site and infrastructure preparation and construction support. At the moment we are about 15 people working at the division.
Description of main responsibilities
ESS is looking for a person who will work as the quality assurance engineer at the CF Division. You will coordinate the quality activities within the CF Division and act as the link to the ESS overall quality management system. Specifically you would:
• Establish specific QA guidance within the CF Division
• Write specific QA requirements for the procurements done by CF Division
• Perform QA reviews of the suppliers
• Act as expert and the leading person to whom all within CF Division can address QA related questions
Qualifications
We believe that you:
• Have experience as a quality assurance engineer in an international environment and in rapidly changing organisations and company structures.
• Have experience from QA reviews of suppliers
• Have experience from the construction industry
Experience of working in an international environment is essential.
Excellent oral and written English skills are a prerequisite; knowledge of other European languages would be an advantage.

The European Spallation Source ESS AB will design, build and operate a multi-disciplinary, large-scale research infrastructure based on the world's most powerful neutron source. ESS will provide scientists with unique and powerful neutron scattering instruments for the study of a large range of materials - from polymers and pharmaceuticals to membranes and molecules. The ESS project is partnered by 17 European countries, and hosted by Sweden and Denmark. The ESS will be built in Lund, Sweden, by a collaboration of European scientists and engineers. ESS is planned to produce the first neutrons by 2019. When the facility is in full operation 2025, ESS has around 450 employees.
