At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers over the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. Are you interested in development of design and connected car technology? Do you share our passion for people, the environment and our urge to create a superior driving experience? Research and Development is the place for you to prosper.

As QUALITY ACTION LEADER you are responsible for defining and leading assignments that aim to deliver solutions for vehicles and tools that are already in the hands of our customers.
In you role as a team leader you lead a team that develops fault tracing methods for Volvo Car's workshops.

The section Diagnostics and ECU Platform is responsible for all base technologies in the electrical platform that forms the base for the entire electrical system. Base technologies are e.g. network design, communication technology and the diagnostic system. The section is a part of Electrical and Electronics System Engineering within Volvo Car's Research and Development (R&D) division. As part of the section, the group Diagnostics and Dependability is responsible for in-vehicle diagnostic systems, for guided fault tracing methods as well as a competence center in the functional safety area.

Working with base technologies means that you establish and develop relationships with designers within almost all system areas of the vehicle as well as building an understanding of the designs within those areas. In this position you will therefore build and maintain a wide personal network both within R&D as well as in the aftermarket organisation. As a part of our team, you get access to long term development opportunities in a dynamic and continuously growing field, where you have a strong direct influence on customer satisfaction.

In your Quality Action Leader role, you keep an eye on what is going on in the maintenance phase. You are the section's representative in the Current Model Quality organization. You are also responsible for monitoring field performance of the section's efforts in assignments driven by quality issues. In your Team leader role, you coordinate the development efforts of you team in matters related to our guided fault tracing deliveries. Volvo Car's workshop system VIDA helps the workshop technician with troubleshooting faults, component information and vehicle specifications. 10 members of our team develop guided fault tracing information that we delivers to our workshops. Your job is to coordinate the development efforts of this team.

Job profile:
