The English school in Upplands Väsby is an independent school, years 1-6, with an international focus that follows the Swedish national curriculum (LGR 11). The school was established in 2010.
The English school in Upplands Väsby is expanding in autumn 2016 and is now looking for a qualified teacher for grade 4. The position coverage can be between 75 - 100% and can be combined with mentorship and other duties/subjects. We follow the Swedish curriculum but the teaching language is English. Qualification in music and art is an advantage.
We have 1 small class per grade level, which helps us create a safe and close-knit learning environment. Our school teaches students to use English fluently and effectively in reading, writing and speaking. We recruit and employ native English speaking teachers and offer up to 50 percent of our teaching in English. We provide a highly focused and disciplined learning environment in a calm and secure environment where each student can fulfill his or her potential
Expectations:
As a teacher at Engelska skolan, you will be planning and conducting challenging classes in accordance with the Swedish National Curriculum.
You will be exposed to new pedagogical ideas and you will be encouraged to share your ideas with your colleagues on a weekly basis.
