hela Sverige We are now recruiting a research scientist specialized in quantitative PCR (qPCR) to LEO Pharma R&D, Greater Copenhagen, Denmark. The position is placed at the Department of Molecular Biomedicine and offers an opportunity to be part of a team focused on providing biomarker support for Drug discovery & development projects. The duration of the assignment is initially until 31 December 2012 and preferred starting date is as soon as possible.
qPCR analysis is an essential part of the biomarker evaluation process and the successful candidate will contribute by setup, development and quality assessment of current and novel RT-qPCR experimental systems. In addition, as a qPCR expert, the candidate is expected to contribute to elevated qPCR competence within the team through mentoring and guidance. Data handling and analysis will be done in collaboration with in-house informaticians to ensure compliance with current MIQE guidelines.

Publiceringsdatum2012-09-04KvalifikationerWe are looking for a research scientist with a M.Sc. (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline and a strong experimental background including several years of practical qPCR experience.
The position is lab based and requires solid expertise, both theoretical and practical, in qPCR methodology. The ideal candidate thus has profound understanding of all aspects of qPCR including method development and validation. Experience with qBase-plus, STATminer, excel, ABI ViiA7 and MIQE guidelines is strongly advantageous.
It is essential to have excellent social and communication skills and to be a natural authority as well as a strong team player. Candidates should be able to work independently, take own initiatives and have a positive, goal oriented and problem solving attitude. Excellent computing and data handling skills are required as well as excellent English, both spoken and in writing. Previous experience from pharmaceutical industry is advantageous. Personality is of great importance in the selection process.
