Background

In November 2019 Imerys made a re-organization. Earlier each production site had their own local QA manager. The new organization 's purpose is to uniform and standardize the quality control processes and use best practise between the different hubs. Hub Nordics consist of three different production sites; Höganäs and Åmål in Sweden and Oosterhout in the Netherlands.

Organisation

The QC Hub Nordics organisation in Sweden and the Netherlands is total 7 FTE including you, with direct and indirect personnel. You report to the BA CQ/CA Manager, based in Paris. This position is based in site Höganäs.

Responsibilities

The overall mission is to manage, follow up and develop the quality control operations/processes and standards at hub level. You ensure the manufacturing production lines run smoothly and generate a consistently suitable output of products that set standards of quality, reliability and performance.

Procedures/Processes and improvements

• Conduct assessment of company production processes to develop in-house quality policies, procedures and specifications. Ensure the implementation and maintenance of quality control procedures, in-process inspections and finished product inspections.

• Conceive, improve and review new specifications and procedures for products or processes
• Define relevant monitoring indicators to ensure production and QC improvement and work for continuous manufacturing process improvement for higher-quality goods
• Support handling and analyse customer complaints. Propose associated corrective actions for repeated failures or unreliability of quality. Authorize rework, scrap, or return to vendor decisions
• Ensure quality processes are properly implemented and managed at production level
• Prepare and monitor internal and external audits (ISO / Group / Customer / Supplier)
• Ensure compliance with legal obligations and regulatory bodies in the frame of health and safety guidelines

Who are you?

You probably have an Engineering (MSc, BSc) degree with a minimum of 6 years progressive experience in the oversight, development or monitoring of quality control systems. Knowledge of the refractories industry or similar would be very much preferable. You probably have experience of working in an international environment/context, working with different cultures and plants. Earlier experience of management would also be considered as a plus.

You have an in-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards and understand regulatory compliance. You are skilled in organization, prioritization, communications and management. You need to be able to connect and liaise with all company departments, customers and suppliers for all quality related topic.

You also have good understanding in scientific and technical data/statistics and we expect you to have experience with different kind of quality methods (FMEA, DMAIC etc).

Since this position is posted in Höganäs, full proficiency in Swedish and English are demanded. You need to visit the different plants, so expect traveling approximately 20 %.
