hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos Paradox Interactive AB i Stockholm As a QA tester at PDS, you will help us deliver the best possible games by testing our Grand Strategy titles in various stages of development. We work closely with the development teams for titles such as Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron, Stellaris & Crusader Kings, where we test and analyze every aspect of the game.
But testing is not the only thing we do.
We also support the developers by providing feedback on soft values such as game design and the general fun factor of the game. This means our testers need to be apt at interpersonal skills, to be able to nurture a relationship with the developers and communicate feedback that is constructive and relevant.
We believe that Quality Assurance goes beyond simply testing and we encourage our team to develop important personal skills that help them in areas such as leadership and mentorship to others - so that they can collectively spread their passion for quality.
At Paradox Quality Assurance is as important a discipline as any other within game development, one that is easy to learn but hard to master.
That is why we have committed ourselves to providing our QA testers with a career ladder that begins with teaching people the basics and in the long run provides people with opportunities to grow with your responsibilities and become an expert in what you do.
Responsibilities
Execute tests and document results according to specifications
Closely collaborate with project coordinator to identify and meet test priorities
Closely collaborate with outsourced partners
Provide constructive feedback on all projects related to design, fun-factor, etc.
Generating risk assessments - evaluating issues and identifying risks for projects
Maintain test documentation
Coach and mentor other testers
Requirements
A minimum of 3 years experience in game QA testing
Experience in having gone through an entire game development cycle for at least 1 project
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Experience with bug reporting tools such as Mantis or Jira
Experience setting up test plans and executing them
Pluses
Possesses an understanding of Paradox Development Studio games. (Games such as Europa Universalis, Crusader Kings and Hearts of Iron in particular.)
A passion for the strategy game genre
Experience in an embedded QA position
Experience working in an agile environment
Game development education
ISTQB certification
Familiar with: Python, XML, JavaScript, Java, SQL
Have several released game titles
