Nasdaq Technology is looking for a QA Test manager to join the TRADExpress RealTime Clearing team. RealTime Clearing helps clearinghouses meet the ever-increasing demands of the post-trade value chain with integrated position keeping, real-time risk and collateral management, as well as settlement, across markets. In this role, you will be responsible for currently eight (8) employees and contractors working within the QA area in cross-functional teams in large client delivery projects to clients in Japan, the US, and Brazil. Along with the responsibilities as a manager for the team, you will also take on hands-on QA work, such as test automation or defining test strategies, in one of our ongoing projects. An indication of the balance between project work and managerial tasks is roughly 50/50.
We are working with an interesting and complex system with challenging quality requirements. The system is hyper-modern, built on a product with a customization strategy. This product is a relatively new product at Nasdaq, but has already developed very successfully so far. You will join a highly qualified cross-functional scrum team consisting of Business Analysts, Software Developers, Test Engineers, and Project Managers. You will work in close cooperation with our customer and this role will support them in early customer testing and acceptance testing. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to ensuring the quality of our product and delivering client success. We also rely heavily on test automation to ensure quality, which will require in depth knowledge in this area. Our current code coverage is close to 90%.
Role & Responsibility:
Own and improve the whole QA process from A to Z
Lead the team through their continuous learning and improvements, including holding yearly performance reviews and giving feedback
Build the team by recruiting new team members to match business needs
Create, execute and maintain tests using our Java based test automation framework
Resolve problems and ensure that software meets specified standards, development specifications and client requirements
Plan test scenarios to ensure that applicable tests are successfully completed and documented and there is a plan for problem resolution
What We're Looking For:
Experience as a manager, team lead or similar
Knowledge in agile test approaches and the software development life cycle
Ability to create and contribute to documenting test strategy, test plan and test cases
Experience creating defect reports and documenting test results
Strong knowledge of Java and tools such as JIRA, Eclipse, Jenkins and GIT
Experience supporting and interacting directly with clients
Experience from the financial industry
Good knowledge about Derivatives Clearing functionalities is meriting
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
