In order to be able to create more world-class digital toys, we are now looking for a QA Lead to join our QA team. As QA Lead at Toca Boca you will be embedded in a small game team and take responsibility for their QA plans, as well as help your colleagues in other teams around launches and peaks.
At Toca Boca, you'll have the responsibility and ability to make decisions within your team on your project and drive the QA process forward within both the project and team.
You'll join a company that has fun together and hasn't lost the ability to play together. We're basically a bunch of big kids.
What you'll be doing:
Improve and operate the QA process for Toca Boca including bug prevention and encourage quality responsibility within the team.
Collaborate with the other QA team members to share knowledge and encourage best practices across projects.
Perform manual and technical testing across the three different mobile platforms, both by exploratory testing and by feature testing.
Toca Life: World releases monthly content, so there's never a dull moment, not at the office nor in the apps themselves. You'll need to ensure that what we release is of the quality our users expect. So you'll have to co-ordinate release testing and inform the team about the risks/impacts, based on test coverage achieved.
You'll be a key stakeholder in the game team which means you will attend daily scrums, demos, planning, and retrospectives. Communication is key.
We believe that you:
Have a few years experience with QA in the games industry which has given you knowledge of game development cycles, developer consoles and release flows.
Know how to communicate with different stakeholders, from game programmers to product owners and to artists and marketing. Basically everybody in the team.
Have an eye for detail and can spot a misplaced pixel from a mile away.
We want you to bring your knowledge to help the team be the best that they can be. Part of being a QA Lead here at Toca Boca means that you'll assist in the training of new hires, mentoring the more junior team members and sharing your expertise.
You'll be part of a small team looking to gain experience and knowledge to drive better process and continually improve the development team, helping the developers with bugs and testing their own work.
Good to know:
This position is full time and based in our Stockholm office. We apply 6 months probationary employment.
As we're an international company, with 10+ nationalities and millions of users in every country you have to be fluent in English.
