Expansive Worlds & Avalanche Studios are looking for an experienced and driven QA Engineer to join our talented team on theHunter!
The Position
We are currently looking for an experienced and driven QA Engineer to work within a talented team on our high-profile and popular project.
Here you will work side by side with developers and producers in a dynamic team with a strong relationship to the player community. You will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the QA workflow, both internally as part of the development team and externally, as active lead for the BETA test teams. You will perform daily testing of various game mechanics and report issues. This also requires you to be in close communication with your colleagues regarding the issues you identify, raising them and following up accordingly.
With a team strongly connected to the player community, social media plays a relevant part in the development. Monitoring forums, collecting relevant feedback and presenting it to your producer is something you will do on a regular basis.
We believe you are able to plan and execute your work together with, but not dependent on, others. We also believe you are able to foresee potential concerns and does not fear to raise them. You have experience from working in an agile development team, QA testing and bug tracking. You know how to allocate your time to keep a well balanced workload. Together with the development team, you will work towards ensuring a stable product and creating a more enjoyable experience for our community.
Requirements:
Experience from Dev QA (preferably online/FTP games)
Experience from managing and communicating with external QA test teams
Knowledge of bug tracking programs
Excellent in English, written and verbal
Personality:
Driven and pro-active
Takes initiatives and doesn’t hesitate to speak up in a group
Asks the questions/seeks the answers
Confident in time allocating and planning
Love games
Solution driven
Additional Merits:
Education in fields related to games and/or testing
Basic knowledge of additional languages (theHunter is released in many different languages)
Experience from automated testing
Experience from FTP games
Interest of hunting and/or hunting games
