hela Sverige Opera Software is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Android team in Sweden.

In our Swedish offices, in Göteborg and Linköping, we are digging deep into the inner workings of Blink and Chromium. We?re contributing to and implementing new web standards and tweaking and optimizing a massive code base to behave well on limited Android devices and TVs. We?re also creating beautiful user interfaces on iOS and Android, while constantly striving to improve and innovate the mobile browsing experience even further. Opera browser and Opera Mini, with its over 250 million users, was born and created in Sweden.
We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and analytical frame of mind, a problem solver. You will cooperate closely with developers to ensure that we continue to release products of great quality.
Responsibilities
• Report relevant bugs during daily ad-hoc testing on device.
• Work closely with developers on feature development and provide adequate feedback.
• Maintain a good overall understanding of the product to identify regression scopes and find weaknesses in a solution quickly.
• Organize and prioritize release testing within a limited amount of time to ensure maximum quality.
• Create test cases (both manual and scripted) for new and existing features.
Requirements
• Self-motivated, structured, quality-driven and able to take initiative
• Experience with quality assurance and software or product testing
• Great multitasking skills
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, and good communication skills
Ideal job requirements
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Experience with mobile platforms such as Android
• Experience with test automation
• Solid knowledge of web technologies like HTML, CSS and HTTP
• Solid Python skills
