In our Swedish offices, in Göteborg and Linköping, we are digging deep into the inner workings of Blink and Chromium. We are contributing to and implementing new web standards and tweaking and optimizing a massive code base to behave well on limited Android devices and TVs. We are also creating beautiful user interfaces on iOS and Android, while constantly striving to improve and innovate the mobile browsing experience even further. Opera Mini, with its 250 million users, was born and created in Sweden.
We are now looking for exceptional and experienced Quality Assurance Engineers to join our Compression technology team and continue our innovation and development of technology that enables and improves the internet experience for millions of people. You will join a group of the industrys best engineers working in very close collaboration on the evolution of the Opera compression technologies - the foundation that enables ground breaking products and features like Opera Mini, Opera Turbo and Opera Max.
Responsibilities
• Take initiative and ensure delivery of high quality products.
• Plan, prepare and execute tests for new functionalities.
• Design and implement automated tests and test systems.
• Adapt to and learn new technologies.
• Prioritize what is relevant and important.
Requirements
• Drive and commitment to work in a highly dynamic environment.
• Self-motivated, structured, quality-driven and able to take initiative.
• Ability to automate work using scripting languages.
• Experience with working on Linux.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
Ideal job requirements
• Good knowledge about networks and networking protocols.
• Experience with version control systems.
• Experience with large scale server environments.
