THE POSITION
In the role as Android QA Developer you will be a member of the Viaplay Android team, whose mission is to maintain and develop the Android app with new features, keeping it best-in-class and serving as a main entry point to Viaplay.
We are successful in delivering code autonomously, but more automated test cases and improved test strategies are crucial to maintain and expand our platform, delivering a first class streaming experience to our customers. You will be the owner of this from a QA perspective, working closely together with the whole team when it comes to writing tests as well as improving processes, test setups, monitoring and other tooling. As product requirements are defined closely with the Product Owner, Designer, Product Managers and stakeholders across the organization, you will be the one closing the loop by defining scenarios for testability prior to development and ensuring that quality is maintained as new features are developed and released.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You should have a core interest in Android development and keen to push forward internal development by sharing knowledge and keeping on top of the latest technologies. You are currently working either as Android Developer or with Test Automation within a team of mobile developers, preferably at a product company.
Successful candidates also meet the following requirements:
• Degree in computer science, computer engineering or an equivalent level of work experience.
• Experience from building Android apps that are live on Google Play.
• Competent in Java
• Competent in Automated testing frameworks part of Android SDK (Espresso)
• Competent in Jenkins or similar automations software
• Dedication to CI, automation and other efficient workflow-oriented practices.
• UI-testing and other quality-oriented practices.
• Enthusiasm for Agile software development.
