We are now looking for a Quality Assurance Developer at Opera, an exciting product company with offices in the heart of Linköping and Göteborg.

The job
As a QA developer on the Compression team, you will get to do all sorts of cool stuff. Your focus will be the quality and testability of our compression-related services. The fact that these services run on supercomputer-sized clusters and are used by over 250 million users all over the world makes it all that much more fun and interesting. You will be tasked with building test systems and writing automated tests, as well as finding new ways to test various aspects of our services. Together with a small group of highly skilled colleagues, you will be responsible for the performance, stability and correctness of several extremely complex systems.
Your profile
You have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer science or similar with a keen interest in technology. Your are independent and able to take the initiative to improve both systems and processes. You need to be analytical to be able to minimize test cases for complex issues with web compatibility and analyze statistical data generated by the systems. You also should be structured and ready to take responsibility for services that affect the lives of hundreds of millions of users.
Required skills and experience
• Programming and system design
• Experience with web technologies
• Experience working with Linux
• Fluency in English, written and spoken
Ideal skills and experience
• Scripting languages, especially Python and JavaScript
• Test systems
• Continuous integration
• System administration
