Construct/modify/adapt instructional materials/games/displays/learning centers.
Supervise the student's completion of educational activities, observe and record data.
Maintain records and files relevant to assignment - anecdotal notes, written observations, and accurate education folders.
Communicate and share ideas and concerns with lead teacher.
Actively participate in meetings as required.
Assist with critical daily activities such as classroom transition times, meal times and toileting.
Supervise student as required in classroom, gym playground and field trips.
Work collaboratively as a member of a team
We are looking for a classroom assistant to work with a young student with the diagnosis autism in a classroom situation. The position is 75%.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
Qualifications related to and experience working with young children with autism.
