Dibber International School Nacka is in an exciting phase of development and change. Previously known as Älta skola, DISN, decided in 2020 to change its name and introduce a bilingual profile to the school. In addition, the school has embarked on the journey to become an authorized IB world school offering the Primary Years Program to students from reception (fklass) to grade 5. The school's aim is to continue this development into the Middle Years Program (MYP) and ultimately offer a bilingual IB program aligned with the Swedish National curriculum (Lgr22) for students in reception to grade 9 in and around Älta.
The school is in the early phases of the implementation, having nearly completed the first year of running the PYP and slowly introducing English to students from grade 1 to 5. DIS profile outlines that practical subjects-physical education, arts, music- are taught using English and Swedish instruction to build students familiarity with the language in a playful visually supportive environment. DIS has a focus on creating a language rich classroom where dual-language learning can thrive in a safe and supportive enrivonment. Children are encouraged to thrive and test their language skills, mother tongue, Swedish and English throughout the day to create a natural environment for communication.
DISN is looking for an enthusiastic Physical Education teacher to join our team and help us continue our development towards becoming an IB school. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about education and learning and thrives in a multilingual environment where multiple perspectives and ways of thinking are not only tolerated, but welcomed.

Teaching physical education to children in grades 1-6 using Lgr22 and PYP framework
Participating in collaborative pedagogical meetings with colleagues
Acting as a mentor to a group of students
Participating in special days together like UN day and children's book day
Organizing and carrying out sports day
KvalifikationerQualification:
Fluency in English written and spoken
Understanding of written and spoken Swedish
Teaching license from Swedish and/or another country that is equivalent*
3-5 years of physical education teaching experience
