The International School of Älmhult has grown rapidly since it opened in 2000 and has currently over 135 students. It is situated in Älmhult in southern Sweden and it is a state school with support from Ikea of Sweden.
The local area, which has a population of approx 15 600, is peaceful and situated in an attractive area with nearby lakes and forests. The provincial town of Växjö is easily reached by either rail or road, as are other cities such as Stockholm or Copenhagen. The school was authorised for the International Baccalaureate's Primary Years Programme in May 2003 and for the Middle Years Programme in May 2009. The school has a friendly atmosphere. The classes are small and all lessons are given in English.

The applicant will:
• carry out tasks outlined in IBO PYP coordinators list of responsibilities.
• ensure that school and students comply with IBO regulations.
• lead the development of PYP programme of inquiry.
• complete all documentation in English
• communicate effectively with school staff, parents, kommun professionals etc.
KvalifikationerThe successful applicant will:
• have a degree in appropirate subject.
• have experience in teaching IB PYP programme.
• have IB training.
• be an excellent, flexible and effective communicator.
• be able to respond positively to change.
• be able to collaborate effectivly.
• work positively and effectively with staff and parents.
• be able to lead the development of the IB curriculum with coming changes.
Previous coordinator experience is an advantage.
The candidate must have excellent spoken and written English.
Arbetstider och omfattningHeltid. 100% Dagtid. Tillsvidareanställning, tillträde: Starting date as soon as possible.
ErsättningMånadslön Individual salary level according to qualifications and merits. Monthly salary.
