To get there, sustainability needs to be at the heart of everything we do, and we thus need to grow our electromobility purchasing department.

We are now looking specifically for segment leaders for our electromobility or our electronics areas. As a segment leader you will lead the strategic agenda for your commodity together with your buyer network. You can either submit your general application or you can apply to a specific position area that you may be more interested in. The departments are:
Electromobility
Electronics and Energy Management

What we absolutely need you to do
Lead the strategic agenda for your area together with your segment team & the colleagues in the different regions
Collaborate cross-functionally in building & executing segment strategies in various aspects
Develop knowledge & competencies in the transformation areas such as partnerships, new business models & sustainability
Negotiate, implement changes, and manage crisis in your portfolio
Speak up, influence and drive transformation to create positive change and support our learning culture
In other words, you will strengthen Volvo Group's competitive advantage and support our important journey by understanding and leading the commercial needs of your business.

Having an ownership mentality in your job
Be able to deal with the issues that arise when navigating in unknown terrain
Communicate so everyone can understand what you're trying to say

We believe that you have an academic degree in engineering, business or similar. You have a significant experience in purchasing where you have demonstrated accountability and a willingness to learn new things. We know that you love to cooperate and build strong business relationships. Purchasing experience from an international business environment with global suppliers would be considered as a plus.
