Kongsberg Automotive is now looking for a Purchasing Manager Aftermarket who would like to be part of building the future and aiming to constantly be in the forefront of our areas.
he location of the position is flexible and can be placed in any of the following locations:
Sweden: Gothenburg or Mullsjö
What will you do?
You will be responsible for handling all project purchasing activities for Aftermarket spare parts within the Powertrain & Chassis Business Units' European manufacturing operations. The primary task is to make sure that our high service level towards our customers is maintained with ensuring component availability from suppliers and securing very good margins for Aftermarket business. Suppliers are in general located in Europe, but exceptions exist.
You will work closely with the Aftermarket sales team and with the different roles within the Purchasing organization, in all our European plants. You will report to Pawel our Aftermarket Sales & Business Development Director - EMEA, who is a great support and whom you can discuss and share experiences within the day-to-day activities.
What are your responsibilities?
To work with existing supply base to negotiate good pricing on material and tooling.
Secure component supply for spare parts requirements.
Locate and help qualify new suppliers in the event previous supplier is unable to supply parts anymore.
Manage and arrange future forecasts and/or last time buys of components depending on the future business forecast and need from our customers.
How to be successful in this role?
Good negotiation, collaboration, and communication skills are required due to nature of the Aftermarket business as typically volumes can be low, existing contracts are not clear, and supplier may have damaged or lost tools that need solutions so we can receive parts to meet customer requirements.
Solution oriented and creative in solving problems, driven and have initiative to get things done fast. Thrive within an environment which is entrepreneurial in nature. Your creativity sets the basis for how you complete your task.
Who are you?
5+ years of relevant professional experience in the automotive industry
Efficient, proactive and a hands-on approach
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Entrepreneurial manager with relevant leadership experience
Degree in Business Engineering or other technical or economic studies
Fluent in English, written and spoken, a second European language is an advantage
