In this role, you will join the Scandinavian MIL improvements team and you will be based in Karlstad. As a Purchasing Engineer, you will be procuring goods and services for Valmet's EMEA Service area. You will be responsible for ensuring that Valmet's global Supply Chain requirements in terms of quality, price and availability are followed. Maintaining and developing existing and new supplier relations is an important part of your daily work and you will be responsible for availability and vendor capacity as well as delivery follow-up. You will be monitoring price development and handle contract management including contract negotiations. The position requires some travelling due to global partners and suppliers.

You are experienced in procurement and enjoy being the leading spirit, taking initiative and delivering results together with your colleagues. It is desirable that you have experience from the machine manufacturing industry and good technical knowledge, experience from the paper industry would be of benefit. We expect you to have refined communication skills and an ability to successfully liaise with internal and external stakeholders. International experience and working with CCC supplier base is an advantage.
You have good IT skills in MS Office and are used to working with ERP and procurement reporting tools. Naturally, you communicate well in Swedish and English, both written and orally.
