hela Sverige As a purchasing engineer in Cargotec Sweden AB Bulk Handling, you are involved in the project process from the moment the equipment is sold up until delivery. You are a part of a team with a project manager and engineers, and together the team ensures that all schedules and budgets throughout the project are kept. You work with 2-4 projects in different stages at the same time. The value of purchased components for each project is normally between five to 30 million SEK.
Your responsibilities will include purchasing of all kind of material and services, such as steel structures, electrical and hydraulic equipment, transports, delivery inspection and assembly work. You will also make contact with new suppliers and negotiate new agreements with existing and new contractors. You are based in Bjuv, Sweden, but you need to travel approximately 15 - 20 working days annually, nationally as well as internationally.
To succeed in this work, you should have good business sense and an ability to work as part of a team. We expect the right candidate to have good technical and commercial knowledge with an engineering and/or financial degree at university level. We consider it a merit if you are an experienced purchaser, preferably in manufacturing.
Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, is a requirement as this is the main language for all correspondence and contact with some suppliers; it is also the main documentation language for the company.
