SpectraCure AB is a medical device company active in the area of treatment of solid cancer tumors. We are about to initiate a phase I/II/III studies for one the first indication in North America with a drug/device combination treatment. We are seeking for a Purchasing Director for the company. We are looking for a dedicated person with previous experience ina similar position.
The Purchasing Director is responsible for managing the flow of all procurement activities and processes. One primary function is to develop and implement purchasing programs and procedures. She/he shall ensure that all procurement transactions are implemented in accordance with company guidelines.
The tasks will include:
• Establish and/or review procurement plans, procurement implementation plans and budget reports.
• Coordinate closely cost and budget with co-managers/directors.
• Assure that purchases are made according to company purchasing, budgetary and other administrative policies.
• Assist in identifying purchases most appropriate to needs.
• Evaluate alternatives for purchase, which provide the best possible value for the company.
• Continually review current means and methods of purchasing, and identify and recommend improvements to the company processes and policies.
• Develop and supervise development of bid and proposal specifications development and assure that appropriate records are maintained.
• Analyse and award bids and/or proposals.
• Monitor adopted budget and authorise expenditures in conformance with company policies.
• Evaluate capital improvement budget requests.
• Be strong in building internal and external relationships and able to communicate at all levels.
• Have excellent verbal and written English skills as well as have strong negotiating skills.
• Be problem solving and decision-making.
• Be flexible to travel and additional working hours.
Profile:
The Purchasing Director shall be capable to work under uncertain conditions. She/he shall have the ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks under heavy and demanding workload. She/he is goal-oriented, self-motivated and committed. It is also important to accept that it will exist a number of issues to be solved and trying periods of time in the project start-up phase as well as along the project.
Experience:
The Purchasing Director holds Master's degree and has several years of experience in a similar position.
