We are currently looking for Purchasers within the automotive industry.
Job description:
• Updating the Purchasing strategies with Engineering and technical roadmaps
• Negotiate commercial issues
• Deliver the defined KPI:s (Key Performance Indicators) on time and in accordance with set targets
• Coordinate and prepare supplier management meetings
• Make supplier selections and deliver to projects on time
You will manage all project related supplier relations and be a member in applicable project cross-functional team(s) and ensure collaboration with the other buyer roles within the respective segment(s). The position requires that you develop and maintain a sourcing plan, compile other sourcing prerequisites and secure timely hand-over to the Sourcing buyer.
You are expected to negotiate changes between contract and actual project needs and ensure alignment to cost objectives. You will Lead Supplier Project Performance Reviews and contribute to Business Review Meetings (BRMs) with project performance input and own the project purchasing key performance indicators on your segment(s). It is essential that you compile and deliver QDCF results from project phase and secure a timely hand-over to the operation buyer and ensure supplier readiness for production.
Furthermore, you will drive project crisis management when required and handle the escalation management at suppliers and within the customer.
Requirements:
• You have a university degree in Business, Engineering or related field
• Experience in purchasing, negotiation and project management, preferably with technically complex components
• You are fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Analytical, logical and structured
• Good communication skills
• Open and willing to work in an international environment
• Quick starter, self-motivated and a team player
