We from Project Purchasing Autonomous & Connected systems (SCX) are responsible for sourcing and introducing Electronics Hardware, Embedded Systems and Software for our upcoming vehicle generations in the areas of driver interaction, connectivity and automated driving. We work closely with R&D and our suppliers to try to find the right technology to the right cost, while meeting time to market demands and ensuring Scania's quality and sustainability requirements. We are a team with plenty of experience within purchasing and electronics, who enjoy working together to reach our goals. We enjoy solving problems both within the team and with our cross-functions and always strive to find the best solutions for Scania.
We are looking for a new team member to take part in our journey. As a Project Sourcing Manager, you will get the chance to drive projects from early concept phase until parts introduction. Your focus will be projects and parts within the area of Driver Assistance Systems and components to fulfill legislation requirements regarding safety and security for specific markets, in general contributing to source products for a more sustainable and safe future.
Who am I?
I see my role as a manager to create an atmosphere that promotes personal development by empowering co-workers, by protecting the team, by setting directions, by being challenging but also fair and by respecting individual needs and diversity. I am 33 years old with 10 years of experience in automotive purchasing, thereof 3 years working with leadership. In order to succeed as a team in a changing business and work environment, my core principles base on the following 4 pillars: Trust, Respect, Support and Fun.On the hockey field I am both, the coach and the goaltender but not a forward, in a music group the drummer and base player but not the singer or the lead guitarist.
Who are you?
We think that you have a university degree within engineering or business and a few years of work experience within Purchasing. You bring in experience together with a new perspective and see this role as an exciting opportunity to broaden or deepen your skills.
We also believe that you have a technical interest and a passion for business, with the skill of seeing the big picture and thinking strategically. You strive to deliver what you promise and have the organizational skills to keep several projects moving at the same time. You are social and enjoy working in a team and work towards a common goal, cooperating well cross-functionally.
Our customers demand more comfort, more safety & security and a product that is frequently updated during the entire product life-cycle with new features, services and innovations. This requires from us to do things differently and to develop new ways. Therefore we are looking for someone who has a strong interest in business development and change management. In that role, you will take lead in improvement activities in the area of Transformation and steer small working teams to develop methods, process ideas and establish a way of working for the affected areas. In this role you will act as the interface between Purchasing experts and our colleagues from Purchasing business development.
As the role will involve many international contacts and travel, you need to be fluent in spoken and written English. Swedish is an advantage as well as other language skills.
