Who we are
Global Customer Service (GCS) is responsible for the development & delivery of world class and innovative Products, Services & Processes for the global Volvo Aftermarket business.
The Logistics Function within GCS is responsible for accessories and spare parts availability for Volvo Car Group markets all over the world. The responsibility includes the entire material flow from supplier to customer. The business is built up around a central warehouse in Gothenburg, China and US, as well as a number of supporting warehouses around the world. The Purchase Planning group is a part of Material Supply department within Parts Supply & Logistics. Currently we are approximately 40 employees, organised in four groups.
What you'll do
As a Purchase Planner you will play a key part of an agile team, whose main responsibility is that parts availability, delivery precision and stock value are optimized. In this role you will act as the official contact person between GCS Logistics and suppliers/stakeholders.
You will also be responsible for both Supplier development and improvement of internal processes.
Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for a service minded individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills both in English and Swedish. This role requires a fair bit of analysis of data therefore an interest and experience in this area will be key to the success in this role. A degree (M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management, or equivalent) is advantageous and so is experience in logistics and leading projects
