Titel: Public Information Associate
Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Provide assistance to the Snr Regional External Relations Officer in preparations of media interviews as well as proactive media work. Keep track of evolving issues concerning asylum-seekers and refugees in the region and globally.
Under the supervision of the Snr Regional External Relations Officer, manage the regional office?s web pages.
Facilitate visits of the media to refugee situations.
Drafts briefing notes, talking points, minutes and other papers for high level meetings and visits.
Establish contacts with local organisations to promote general interest and understanding of refugee issues.
Follow up and respond to incoming correspondence from general public, researchers, companies, etc.
Perform other duties as required.
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
Qualifications
Essential
Completion of secondary education with post-secondary training in Journalism, Communication, Social Sciences, Humanities or related field.
Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience.
Excellent knowledge of English and a Nordic language.
Desired
Work experience from the media.
Experience with advocacy and public information work in an international organisation or NGO.
Knowledge of another Nordic and UN language.
