Job Description
As Public Affairs Director you will be part of the Public Affairs & Partnerships team at Volvo Group headquarters paving the way for future innovation and business development within the company. By your understanding of our company's business environment and ability to analyze opportunities and threats from a political and regulatory point of view, you will take action on issues that affect our business and operations. You have the capacity to anticipate consequences and trends in order to create long-term value for our customers. Based on your exceptional writing and communicative skills in Swedish and English you have the ability to engage internal as well as external stakeholders.
You will be part of the journey of building Volvo Group as the leading and most innovative automotive- and tech company by influencing public policy and developing strategies, policies and messages. You develop positioning, advisory and briefing documents as well as give presentations to internal and external stakeholders. An important part of the role entails building and sustaining long-term relationships with key decision makers on a global level.
In addition to this you will be initiating, coordinating and running projects driving Volvo Group's Public Affairs agenda.

Who are you?
To be successful in this position you need to have a great interest in the work we do and an extensive experience from working with Public Affairs, Strategy, Business Intelligence, Strategic Communications, Business Development or Management Consulting.
You have the experience of managing internal and external relations at different levels and the ability to network effectively and build long-lasting relationships across functional and geographical areas.
We believe you have a master's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field and excellent language skills. In addition to this you need to have a combination of good judgment, high integrity and enjoy working in a high paced environment. Attention to details and the ability to deliver on a tight deadline is crucial for this position.
Volvo Group Corporate Communication & Sustainability Affairs contributes to realizing the vision of the Volvo Group by developing and driving open, consistent and relevant internal and external communication that builds confidence, trust and advocacy among stakeholders. Furthermore, Volvo Group Communication & Sustainability Affairs is responsible for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) management, public affairs management and research & innovation policy, as well as the Volvo Group's EU representation.
