The Church of Sweden operates on the basis of a psychosocial approach in emergencies. Community- Based Psychosocial Support (CBPS) is founded on the belief in the resources and capacities of emergency-affected individuals and communities to deal with difficulties, illness and distress and to recover. The Church of Sweden takes a holistic view on wellbeing, where emotional, social and spiritual needs are addressed alongside those that are physical and biological. Within the ACT alliance Church of Sweden is the focal point for psychosocial issues with the focus to strengthen the capacity of the ACT Alliance members to integrate psychosocial aspects in their emergency response. We have identified a need to integrate a community based psychosocial support already in the acute emergency phase in order to have the best possible results. To further support this work, a Psychosocial Adviser to be available for deployments on a short notice to ACT Alliance member organizations is now being recruited. • Strengthening of local partners through technical support in CBPS, by for example introducing relevant methods, tools and polices

• Results based monitoring, reporting and budget follow up
